ASSOCIATE/SENIOR COUNSEL
Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for multiple facets of the legal affairs associated with a group of companies reporting to the Assistant General Counsel including:
- the preparation and negotiation of agreements necessary for the Company’s execution of sales/purchases with 3rd party customers and suppliers
- the ability to multitask, prioritize and manage a large range of diverse issues
- the preparation and negotiation of agreements necessary for the Company’s execution of acquisitions and divestitures
-assisting with corporate governance and compliance (anti-trust/anti-bribery) matters
-assisting the supply-chain management team with procurement concerns and the execution of all agreements necessary for the Company’s execution of purchases with 3rd party suppliers
-coordinating and collaborating with other Air Liquide departments with respect to corporate governance, compliance, tax and intellectual property matters impacting the Company; and
-providing on-going legal advice to upper level management members with respect to strategic initiatives, corporate planning and customer relationships.
Requirements
- have 3-7 years of experience
- be a member in good standing with the Texas State Bar
- possess strong analytical skills and problem-solving mind-set
-be able to demonstrate strong communication skills communicating with all levels in an international organization
-be able to work independently; take initiative and drive processes with little guidance
- international law experience preferred
-be flexible and adaptive in handling urgent matters
-be able to travel both within the United States and abroad.
Educational Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree.
- Juris Doctor Degree from accredited school of law. |
