Corporate Attorney

Job Description
Liaison Technologies is a software technology company headquartered in Alpharetta, GA focused on delivering innovative cloud based data integration and data management solutions to its customers. We are currently seeking a talented and high potential attorney to join our legal team.

Liaison’s in-house legal department is responsible for providing legal support and assistance to the global Liaison enterprise. The work is carried out in close cooperation with the other functions within the company and active participation in the day-to-day business of all Liaison business groups. The legal counsel will report directly to Liaison’s General Counsel in Alpharetta.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Support the executive management, business function leaders, sales and contract administration teams and handle any and all other legal issues for Liaison.
•Work closely with the General Counsel and be part of a small, dedicated, productive, high quality, and high energy legal team.
•Perform a wide variety of work in connection with commercial contracts, intellectual property, employment/HR, data security, M&A, corporate governance and compliance.
•Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by the General Counsel.

Knowledge skills and competencies:
•The position requires sound and relatively broad knowledge of general business, commercial, contract, technology and intellectual property law; experience drafting and negotiating contracts, as well as providing counsel on contract compliance and related issues.
•Experience working with hosted environments, Saas, compliance matters, data security, PCI, PII and PHI; knowledge of HIPAA and Stark Laws.
•Self-starter with strong inter-personal skills, and the ability to efficiently prioritize and handle multiple requests from several internal clients.
•Must demonstrate a collaborative work ethic to engage with all functions and levels within Liaison.
•Sound decision-making ability, with ability to think strategically but also pay attention to details. Strong project management skills; able to organize and manage multiple on-going matters and projects with multiple stake-holders and groups.
•Must be a licensed attorney in the state of Georgia.

Preferred candidates will possess 2-5 years of experience in the above key disciplines combined with strong academic credentials.
