Job Description | Intertape Polymer Group (IPG) is a manufacturing company specializing in the production of technical, high quality, pressure-sensitive tape. We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer for our Marysville, Michigan location.
The primary responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer are as follows:
Support and promote safe working practices within the facility and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Maintain PLC Logic, HMI programs, and SCADA systems and documentation.
Educate and train Maintenance personal on electrical systems.
Program new PLC ladder logic and supervisory control systems.
Provide Electrical Engineering support on new equipment installations, write specifications, review contracts, manage installations. Develop electrical design drawings when needed and provide start-up assistance.
Support the continuous improvement activities of the organization and lead teams in area of expertise.
Review and approve proposals for new machinery.
Estimate proposed projects and provide reports to management.
Coordinate work of Maintenance Electricians and outside contractors.
Education & Experience
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Controls Engineer, related field or equivalent work experience in this field. A minimum of three years of experience in the electrical/controls field in a manufacturing environment.
Other Requirements:
Ability to work off-shift hours, weekends and travel as needed.
Must be willing to work near hazardous chemicals.
Must be willing to work in the vicinity of industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Must be able to manage multiple priorities and manage change.
Experience with Allen Bradley controls is a plus.
