Job Description :
Firth Rixson Forgings is revolutionizing our industry by building a new state-of-the-art jet engine disk manufacturing facility in Midway, GA (20 miles South of Savannah). In support of our vision, we are actively recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. In this hands on role, you will be heavily involved in the design of dies and tooling used in our forging process as well as being a key contributor in our overall continuous improvement initiatives. As a team member, you would be instrumental in developing and implementing processes that are focused on improving customer satisfaction, safety, quality, productivity, traceability, and repeatability. The ideal candidate should possess the following key attributes: an analytical mind, detail oriented, confident, possess a passion for knowledge along with being procedurally based.
Job Requirements :
Qualifications
· BS/MS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
7-10 years experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment developing machining processes
· Must be able to facilitate continuous improvement teams
· Strong project management and problem solving skills
