| Job Description | Job Summary
Responsible for the development of profitable new business and the maintenance of existing business at assigned accounts to achieve annual gross profit objectives. Account managers make sales calls to assinged accounts utilizing their technical expertise and superior consultative seeling skills to drive the specification of their motion control requirements to putchase motion control products, complete solutions, and value add services from Cross Company. They are responsible for new account identification and development in their territory. Account managers work as a team with Product Managers, Inside Sales, and Application Engineers to provide solutions to each desired customer's motion control needs. Additional responsibilities include identifying, sizing, selecting, and quoting single and multi-axis motion control solutions involving all motion technologies represented by Cross Company
Major Job Responsibilities
•Develop new business opportunities from targeted prospects and key accounts including OEM's
•Maintain high degree of technical competence in franchised products and their applications including maintaining any required levels of certification
•Develop and maintain a high degree of superior consultative selling skills and demonstrate acquired skills through solution-based projects generated from targeted accounts
•Achieve annual gross profit objectives
Experience and Skills:
Position Requirements
The candidate must be a self-starter able to take advantage of the training and mentoring program to develop superior knowledge and practice of advanced selling skills, strong technical comprehension of precision motion control technologies including electro-mechanical motion products. Must possess excellent communication skills and PC skills, including extensive knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Power Point. Solid Model CAD Experience is a plus.
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree (BSME or BSEE preferred) in a technical discipline preferred. A strong grasp of Newtonian Physics, Machine Design concepts and understanding of Mechanisms is necessary, experience with industrial automation and motion control equipment is a plus |
