Perform thin film coatings on optical components:
•Cleans and prepares optical components for coating .Operate large ultrasonic cleaning system.
•Loads and operates vacuum coating chambers.
•Operate Metrology tools for characterization of Thin Films.
•Conducts repair and maintenance on coating tools, shields, and chambers.
•Maintains all production, process, quality and equipment records.
•Promotes and maintains good housekeeping and safety practices
•Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Key Job Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Physics or one of the Engineering disciplines.
•Minimum 3 years of experience of optical thin film coating and design experience in a manufacturing environment
•Strong experience running Thin Film Deposition Systems
•Strong analytical skills, utilizing effective trouble shooting and problem solving techniques.
•Strong Experience Maintaining and repairing coating equipment.
•Ability to design AR and HR coatings from UV to mid IR
•Excellent verbal and written communications skills with co-workers, customers, and suppliers
•Strong work ethic, displaying attention to detail, initiative, adaptability, and integrity; team player, strong entrepreneurial spirit.
•Knowledgeable of good housekeeping and safety practices in a clean room environment
•Ability to work with minimal supervision, and to exercise sound professional judgment |
