Candidate must be able to Assess damage to the tooling and determines repairs needed, have the ability to do machining operations on lathe, drill press, and surface grinder; Ability to evaluate work to be done and efficiency to make set-ups and perform repair operations to accomplish the desired work; Follow maintenance work order to determine what repairs are needed from production and quality; Ability to skillfully and artfully use hand-finishing tools; Performs special projects and other duties as assigned; Ability to assemble and disassemble tooling; Ability to sharpen and shape cutting tools.
Ability to work overtime on short notice, including weekends. Helps other tooling technicians trouble shoot tooling problems. Attends weekly / monthly departmental meetings. Follow all safety rules and regulations. Must have good mechanical skills, be able to disassemble and reassemble mechanical equipment, possess welding skills with exposure to mig, tig, and arc welding. Must Possess ability to use machines such as mills, lathes, cnc, drill press, and surface grinder, Possess knowledge of basic blue print reading and assembly drawing, Use calipers and micrometers for dimensional inspections. Use of oxygen acetylene torch, must be able to occasionally lift and move up to 60 lbs. Those with High Pressure Die Casting Experience Strongly encouraged to apply |
