Nucor Steel – Nebraska is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Accounting Supervisor. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the coordination, oversight and execution of Nucor’s accounting related activities including general ledger, accounts payable and scrap inventory.

Requirements
Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field with CPA certification
Previous Accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Proven supervisory experience
Proven commitment to Safety
Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Must be able to effectively present financial information to operating management
Strong computer skills that include experience using all facets of Microsoft Office software
Proven level of creativity and flexibility
Ability to work in a self-motivated, task oriented, dynamic environment with tight deadlines
Expectations of successful candidates will include, but are not limited to the following:
Goal-oriented, cost driven and analytical
Constantly expanding technical knowledge while sharing knowledge with teammates
Display a proactive attitude and approach to daily projects resisting the comfort zone
Effectively lead and develop team to reach for the next level
Willingness to spend time in and develop an in-depth understanding of a production environment
Participate on Safety, Quality, and Environmental teams or other Divisional improvement teams |
