This AVP Senior Product Manager (Personal Lines) will lead the rate, rule, and form management and development process for Personal Lines in an assigned geographic region to meet corporate profitability and production objectives. The preferred location for this position is Simsbury CT. Our Bellevue WA, Irvine CA and Sun Prairie WI locations will also be considered.
Essential Job Responsibilities
•Provide guidance to staff on rate/form development strategies including Actuarial, competitive, and system impacts
•Provide technical leadership and coaching to staff in the evaluation and documentation of product changes and impacts on rating systems
•Oversee rate structure and contract language development to achieve desired mix of business
•Contribute to the development of the annual business plan and its context to drive product enhancements and delivery on a countrywide basis
•Assess Company’s competitive position and make recommendations on appropriate course of action including new product development and existing product enhancement
•Lead and participate in meetings to offer recommendations for efficiency and to communicate countrywide product strategy for assigned products
•Develop and define consistent and effective corporate processes/best practices to ensure accuracy and efficiency
•Develop and maintain processes to ensure rate, rule, and form changes are developed and maintained in compliance with legal standards and approved practices
•Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements
•Adhere to Corporate standards and Best Practices
•Improve processes and procedures within the Company to increase the level and quality of service provided to internal and external customers
•Actively monitor internal and external sources of information and ensure communication of market conditions and competitive pressures to stakeholders
•Develop and maintain strong relationships across business units and with external partners
Required Education &/or Exp
Bachelors Degree in Business, Insurance or related field or the equivalent and continuing education related to the job
•Minimum 5 years of Product Management or Product Development experience with related people management including staff development and performance management
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
•Prior Product Manager experience
•MBA or graduate degree in a related field
•CPCU, FCAS or related industry designation |
