Prepares and analyzes complex financial reports and financial information to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability and various projects. Work is performed by applying knowledge of accounting terminology and through the use of spreadsheets, database software and/or department specific applications. Analysts possess a strong technical knowledge in their working area, however without directly coordinating or leading others work. Will perform other tasks as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
?Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
?Perform other duties as directed by supervisor. May serve as a lead for special projects as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
?Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Math
?Demonstrate basic computer knowledge through effective use of a personal computer including Microsoft Office applications. Able to learn company specific applications.
?Able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects in order to meet established deadlines.
?Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
?Able to work effectively with all levels of co-workers, clients, and other external contacts.
?Able to effectively abide company policies, procedures, and technology.
?Able to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team.
?Able to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
?Advanced knowledge of professional accounting principles, theories, concepts and terms.
?Able to identify problems and develop viable recommendations to improve workflow.
?Able to show awareness of cost/benefit considerations.
?Able to review transactions with high level of accuracy and completeness.
Preferred:
?Accounting or Finance Degree and 3-5 years professional experience.
?Understanding of basic oil and gas knowledge.
