| Job Description | JOB SUMMARY: Prepares both Statutory and GAAP based monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, researches, develops and maintains accounting policies and procedures for both insurance and non-insurance subsidiaries, analyzes account balances and provides accounting information to management, keeps current with Statutory and GAAP accounting practices and standards, implements new standards in corporate accounting policies, prepares regulatory filings and develops ad hoc reports .
We are looking for an experienced accountant. Ideally this candidate will have public accounting experience or a position responsible for preparing financial statements in a medium to large company (including SEC companies), that would have required researching GAAP topics. The candidate must have an accounting or finance degree (accounting preferred, if finance then accounting minor is required) and a Bachelor's degree GPA of at least 3.2.
Candidates with demonstrated experience using PeopleSoft Financials, Access, insurance industry accounting, CPA designation, and expierence with banking regulatory filings will be given preference.
