Accounting Manager

Job Description
Nifco American Corp is a plastic injection molding company that is currently seeking an Accounting Manager for our Canal Winchester, OH Location.

Nifco produces more than 10,000 different types of fasteners. Our products are used extensively in automobiles, not only in visible locations in vehicle interiors and exteriors, but also in engine compartments, trunk, and numerous other concealed locations. Some common parts that Nifco designs are: Cup Holders, Center Consoles, Fuel Cut-Off Valves, Fuel Chambers, Glove Boxes, Wire Harness Clips, Grab Handle Bars and Dampers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Manage all functions and facilities for general, property, accounting, payroll, benefit accounts, tax accounting, accounts receivable and payables, internal auditing, cost accounting and budgetary controls.

Develop and implement annual material, labor, overhead rates for various locations in North America.

Analyze and report on variances relating to manufacturing production and administrative costs to senior corporate and overseas parent company managers.

Direct and coordinate preparation of budgets, financial statements and all related activity for all locations including monthly financial DIVA (Parent company accounting system ) statements.

Administer preparation of statistics, drawn from ORACLE and other databases, for financial statements, including the supporting documentation on the results used to provide forecasts and identify/analyze variances from standard..

* Interpret operating results as they affect the financial aspects of the business units. Make specific recommendations for cost reductions and profit improvement.

Oversee and ensure correct and accurate accounting classification of all expenditures and documents.

Coordinate and apply risk management programs.

Supervise maintenance of the Corporate General Ledger accounts.

Coordinate and administer compliance reporting for various government entities and become the liaison with local and U.S. government officials on business and financial matters.

Enhance organizational processes to manage internal control in order to ensure that data integrity and protection of assets is in accordance with US GAAP, J-Sox Regulations and IFRS.

Develop and implement the plan for IFRS convergence

Develop preparation methods, evaluation processes and implementation plans for future business and the allocation of funds.

Responsible for supervising, training and evaluation of all Accounting functions and staff.

Provide advice and council to Corporate Management regarding the organization’s major financial objectives and Management fiscal policies.

Provide support as company’s 401(k) plan trustee.

Other Management assigned tasks, as required.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or related field.
CPA or CMA desired but not mandatory.

Five to eight years experience in accounting and finance as a Controller or Accounting
Manager with automotive manufacturing or Tier 1 supplier accounting.

Experience with ORACLE software, both financial and manufacturing modules.

Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Thorough knowledge of all accounting and tax related legislation, regulations and reporting procedures.

Thorough understanding of all Accounting functions particularly related to Manufacturing and inventory control.

Familiarity with ISO/QS/TS system requirements.

Must be productive in a team environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft office applications.
