Actuarial Analyst

Job Description
Prepare and assist with various rate and reserve analyses, management reports, as well as various ad-hoc reports and analyses. Close working relationship with all Company Departments will be required. Commitment and motivation toward successful completion of the appropriate Casualty Actuarial Society examinations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree (in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics or Economics preferred), plus 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience;

Effective written and verbal communication skills;

Strong mathematical and analytical skills;

Successful completion of at least 5 CAS examination;

Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite of products with particular emphasis on Excel and Access;

Knowledge of insurance principles, rate-making, and reserving procedures required;

Working knowledge of Cognos, Monarch Pro, and BusinessMap Pro a plus;

Ability to represent the company and deal effectively with government insurance department personnel and ability to work effectively with a variety of other company personnel is required;
