SUMMARY
This role is part of the Life Projections area with the responsibility of owning, maintaining and enhancing the valuation and projection models for our Universal Life Insurance business. Models for the UL business are in PolySystems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Maintain production models and suggest and implement model improvements as needed.
•Help ensure controlled, validated, and well-documented results are produced by Poly models for every production cycle.
•Interact with Modeling Software representatives for normal model maintenance, to certify models are up-to-date, and to develop plans for model improvement projects.
•Review Production Projection runs produced out of Poly by production modelers and ensure life business projections – including Cash Flow Testing, Business Planning, and Goodwill testing – are run using the correct model and assumption setup.
•Final responsibility for the model, including ensuring that the production models are always thoroughly documented and reproducible.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
•BA/BS Degree in actuarial sciences, mathematics, statistics and/or related major
•3+ years of relevant work experience within actuarial industry
•Strong modeling skills
•Attained Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation
•Experience with PolySystems Projection Models
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Attained Fellow of Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation
•5 + years of relevant work experience within life insurance industry
•Strong Life actuarial/risk work experience
