| Job Description | Dynomax, Inc., a fast-growing manufacturer is looking for an Anodizing Manager! We are a leading precision machining, molding, components & spindle manufacturing company serving the aerospace, defense, energy, and medical industries since 1986.

Shift/s:
1ST Shift (7:00-3:30) but responsible for additional shifts as volume increases
Description of position:
Manage Chromic Acid Anodize and Chem. Film application process and personnel. Includes being active is the process regarding handling, inspection, processing, of product as necessary to support volume of work. This is a hands-on working manager position.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Assure compliance of process to customer requirements
Assign work for operators and inspectors
Assure proper process needs are addressed regarding part holding, masking, chemical analysis
Production capacity planning
Wires or clips objects to anodizing rack and immerses rack in series of cleaning, etching, and rinsing baths.
Positions objects in anodizing tank by suspending them from anode.
Estimates amount of electric current and time required to anodize material.
Turns rheostat to regulate flow of current.
Removes objects from tank after specified time, rinses objects, and immerses them in back of hot water or dichromate solution to seal oxide coating.
Hangs objects on racks to air dry.
Process parts through spray paint booth for priming and painting
Skills Required:
Ability to supervise and motivate people
Computer literacy to work with Microsoft products and ERP Software.
Technical skills in manufacturing, processing processes, and methods including flow, layout, assembly and production equipment.
Ability to operate a Type 1 Anodizing line
Ability to perform chromate conversion coating
Attention to detail
Manual dexterity for masking and handling parts
Required Experience:
5 -10 years min of Anodizing experience
2-5 years supervisory / management experience in anodizing
Required Education:
HS graduate minimum. OR
2yr advanced degree or Technical trade school graduate preferred.
Physical Requirements:

Lifting- Up to 50 lbs.
Climbing- Moderate frequency up to 30 minutes at a time on a ladder around plating tanks
Bending- Frequent bending to handle parts
Handling of chemicals- Chromic Acid Anodizing plating chemicals and cleaning solutions
Duration of standing 4-8 hours per day around plating tanks
Duration of sitting 30-60 minutes at a time possibly up to 2 hours per day
Duration of using a computer up to 30 minutes at a time up to 2 hours per day
Manual agility required
Ability to twist, bend and lift as needed to perform job functions
