Minarik Automation and Controls is an industry leading national distribution and engineering company of Machine Automation Solutions. We are a subsidiary of Kaman Industrial, a publicly held leader in Industrial Distribution. Our Westwood, MA branch has an immediate opening for a dynamic Application Engineer to support our Sales Staff. We are looking for an energetic, technically superior individual to assist in determining Customer requirements and system solutions. The successful candidate will craft a solution from our extensive offering of premier brands and assist in presentation to Customers. The ideal candidate will possess superior verbal skills and be able to help Customers define needs and desires. Must be able to clearly communicate these needs and ideas in writing to others. Works with other associates and factory engineers to create proposals and quotes favorably positioning Minarik's solution compared to competitors. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: •Provide technical support, design, and assistance on PLC, motion control, HMI, sensor, and vision systems for automation solutions. •Programming and implementation of automation and controls systems including: PLC's,HMI's, Motion Controls, Sensors, and Electronic Drives. •Programming using Visual Basic, Structured Text ,C+, and IEC61131-3 languages. •Analyze and solve electrical problems, trouble shoot analog/digital electonic control systems.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
•Bachelors degree in engineering or related field. •Proven experience in a technical sales organization; 7-10 years experience is preferred or combination of experience and education. •Excellent written and verbal communication skills •Strong math and logistical skills •Excellent PC skills including knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, and database activity •AutoCad or SolidWorks experience a plus |
