| Job Description | CD-adapco is seeking an Application Specialist in the area of injection molding. Application Specialists liaise with end-users and members of the Product Delivery Team in order to define a set of requirements for the software that will meet end-user expectations for a particular application. As high end users of the software, they pioneer methods for solving novel problems, and then work with Development and Product champions to ensure that new software features are delivered and work as planned in their area of expertise. You will contribute to the development and validation of new versions of STAR-CCM+ throughout their development and release life-cycles to continually improve their quality.
The position is located in Seattle Washington, Nuremberg Germany, or Lebanon New Hampshire.
Qualifications
Masters or PhD in CFD, Computer Science and/or Civil, Mechanical, Aerospace or Materials Engineering with proven expertise in mesh generation i.e. 2-3 years of experience with a commercial package, preferably STAR-CCM+ or other industrial CFD code.
Proven experience with solving injection molding problems using commercial CFD codes.
Experience in both Windows and Linux operating systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team to meet project goals
