Description:
The Assistant Product Manager for Housewrap and Housewrap Accessories is responsible for developing, leading and executing customer and channel specific value added programs and products for the Foam Insulation business. The commercial segments include the Commercial and Industrial, Distribution, Big Box Retail, and 2-Step Lumber Yard Distribution. The Product Manager reports to the Products and Programs Director for Wall Systems and is a key member of the natural leadership team (NLT). This leadership role is accountable for performing at high levels at both the day-to-day and the strategic levels.

Responsibilities

1. Live the Safety stand, adhere to the safety responsibilities.

Leads in the Foam business by example from a place of safety first.

2. Knowing the Customer

Expertise in markets and increase knowledge base of organization
Accountable for understanding how our customer makes money and the value that our current and future products deliver to the customer.
Developing a broad and deep understanding of our competitors and where they are trending


3. Development of Product Line Strategy

Developing a strategic and tactical plan for growing the Housewrap and Foam Accessories business in all customer segments in the United States and Canada
Identifying customer fitness for use for housewrap and foam accessories and developing product solutions through Third Party Sourcing and Research and Development;
Developing appropriate affinity marketing programs for the housewrap product segment;
Studying emerging trends within the market and with our customers
Determining how OC can capitalize on market trends and drive emerging trends that impact our business
Interfacing with the corporate marketing team.


4. Executing Strategy

Using the Solution Development Process to bring solutions to market
Interfacing with our ASM’s to help our customers grow and prosper by knowing their business and delivering value added programs that drive revenue
Providing expertise and best practices in program management to other OC business segments
Protecting and effectively utilizing the value of the OC brand
Effectively managing a program budget
Measuring, tracking and reporting Program ROI and EBIT to Foam leadership
Coordinating with the Foam Controller, Third Party Sourcing, Customer Service and Technical Support to insure profitable growth



Job Requirements

Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering; MBA a plus
Developing and marketing new products and services; attracting new customers.
Three plus years of direct, customer-facing or marketing work experience.
Exposure to/work in commercial channels is highly desired.
Gaining customer, market and competitive insight.
Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or beat high bar targets and deadlines.
Development of successful internal and external relationships (including with suppliers and co-marketing partners, highly desired.)

Knowledge and Abilities:
Develops and leverages internal and external relationships successfully
Thinks strategically and drives change action and results
Excellent written and oral communication skills including presentations to large and diverse audiences
Business and financial acumen-knows the P&L, analytical
Advanced Microsoft Excel, and Business Information system skills.
Flexibility to travel up to 50% of time
