The Motorists Insurance Group, an insurance industry leader based in Columbus, Ohio has an outstanding opportunity for a proven change agent to join our IT leadership team. This critical position is responsible for supporting existing business applications and driving innovation and strategic application planning across the enterprise.

The selected candidate will report directly to the vice president & CIO and will be accountable for developing sound strategies for application architecture and reinventing the delivery of business applications services.

Selection criteria include:

Proven ability to lead/motivate professional technical staff and build customer service-oriented organization

Comprehensive technical understanding of application architecture spanning both mainframe and distributed platforms

Ability to lead the integration of innovative technologies with legacy applications.

Proficient with distributed Internet architectures and enterprise content management platforms.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong project management background with an understanding of multiple delivery models

Demonstrated history of leading and driving transformational change

Minimum of 6 years applicable IT experience with 4 years in a leadership role

Bachelor’s degree required; Masters’ degree and application architecture certifications a plus
