Requirements
Assistant Vice President – Corrosion Protection



Job Description

The successful applicant will work closely with the New Technologies team, clients and affiliated Universities in the development, study, testing and implementation of new corrosion protection solutions. He/she will be responsible for understanding client problems and working with the NTIC technical and client management teams to develop/design, test and/or select the appropriate solution(s).

Reporting directly to the Vice President of R&D for ""New Technologies"", the candidate would help guide and coordinate the work of the NTIC research team, work with the NTIC Executive Committee on plans to expand the team and be responsible for the technical and commercial viability of corrosion management solutions developed by the team.

Due to the international nature of the client base and the nature of the problems being addressed, the candidate would have to travel to multiple countries and is expected to be out of the country/home office for ~20%-30% of the time. International travel could include weekends away.

Prior Educational Experience:

Master's degree in Electrochemical Engineering (or corrosion related field)
Preference for a Ph.D. in the field of corrosion protection areas

Prior Work Experience:

10+ years experience in the research, design, application and maintenance of corrosion protection systems utilizing electrochemical methods, coatings, and/or inhibitors
The candidate will have experience in one or more from the following industries - Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Transportation

Professional Affiliation:

NACE level 3 Certification or higher in any corrosion related discipline

Other

History of publications and patents, including papers presented/published at forums like NACE conferences, etc.

Demonstrated ability to lead a team of researchers and global client management teams

Willingness and ability to travel on international work

Willingness and ability to relocate to Beachwood, Ohio or Circle Pines, Minnesota
