Description
This position will play a key role in Statutory and GAAP financial reporting and analysis for the block of business acquired from Hartford . This position will provide the candidate with interaction with Prudential's Individual Life senior leadership within the Finance, Valuation, and Modeling functions.

Key Responsibilities of the Position:

•Maintain and update actuarial valuation systems that calculate life insurance reserves
•Maintain spreadsheets that (1) summarize individual life actuarial reserves, and (2) stage reserve entries for posting to ledger
•Perform reserve trending analysis and determine root cause of any outliers
•Perform monthly production controls as they relate to actuarial reserves
•Support system conversion
•Support both internal and external audit
•Implement and maintain documentation and controls



Qualifications
•College Degree (BA / BS) required
•Required: at least 3 years experience in actuarial field, preferably for an insurance company
•Strong technical skills, especially MS Excel
•Successful completion Actuarial exams is a plus. Associate in the Society of Actuaries is a plus.
•Experience with Individual Life products preferred, including Traditional, UL, and VUL.
•Experience with Triton, Polysystems, or other actuarial software preferred
•Proven ability to work independently, and with broad teams to accomplish goals
•Ability to manage multiple priorities
•Ability to grasp complex subject matter and provide insightful analysis
•Strong oral and written communication skills
