Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a member of the Legal Department, this position will serve as one of the lead contacts for all Brands and business functions with respect to necessary contract work and legal issues in all digital/social media marketing programs and digital technology initiatives. This attorney will also be accountable for drafting and negotiating retailer agreements and agreements with other service providers in support of the Global Retail Channel group.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Accountable for drafting, negotiating and reviewing, on an independent basis, contracts with service providers and vendors, such as digital marketing agencies, website and other digital/social media marketing development service providers, digital software licensing and technology development service providers, fulfillment service providers, payment providers. Deliverables expected are preparation of said contracts with the various service providers.
•Accountable for drafting and reviewing, on an independent basis, legal notices and related documents for digital/social media marketing programs and marketing and ecommerce website launches. Deliverables expected are advising the business on certain of the legal aspects of digital/social media marketing programs and conducting ecommerce.
•Accountable for drafting, negotiating and reviewing various types of retail agreements, such as product supply and store construction. Deliverables expected are preparation of said agreements.

Primary Location
•Juris Doctorate degree and 8+ years experience required. Member of NYS Bar.
•Experience in independently drafting and negotiating software licensing, technology development and integration, cloud computing, digital marketing and similar complex services agreements.
•Experience in e-commerce transactions/issues and e-commerce support agreements.
•Experience with the sale and distribution of products/services.
