Summary:

Associate Director ' Process Sciences, Downstream, will be responsible for scientific investigations related to production processes for biological drugs.

Essential Functions:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

'The candidate will be responsible for leading scientific investigations related to downstream unit operations of biologics manufacturing processes

'The candidate will lead a team of Scientists and Associates and manage all activities to assure that scientific investigations are planned and coordinated cross-functionally, and executed effectively

'Experiments will be conducted in scale-down models using DOE or other experimental principles

'The candidate in this role will design and execute an effective raw material use testing and control plan.

Experience:
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

'Protein purification sciences

'Scale-down model development

'Raw material controls

'JMP and advanced statistical software programs

'Interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills;

'Word processing, spreadsheet, database management, statistical analysis, graphing, and presentation programs.

'cGMP operations

Experience:

'PhD with 5+ years of relevant experience.

'Experience in leading a purification sciences team, in-depth knowledge of protein separation techniques, experimental design and data analysis using advanced mathematical tools is required. Knowledge of complex raw material chemistry and experience in the identification of chemical markers is beneficial. Candidate will develop programs that reflect best practices in the industry.
