Automation Engineer – Hardware
ATI Allegheny Ludlum produces and markets a wide range of specialty metals, including stainless steel, nickel alloys, and titanium to end use markets such as aerospace, power generation, automotive, and housing. We deliver exceptional products and services to customers around the world.
We are currently seeking an automation engineer to support the hot rolling operations fora new hot rolling and processing facility to be located at our Brackenridge, PA, facility located approximately 20 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.
Primary responsibilities include hardware detail design of basic automation systems or drive systems including circuit design, arrangement diagram, terminal diagram, cable list and order list. The successful candidate in this position will work closely with the project manager, system integrator, software and installation engineers and the equipment manufacturer.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering
· Minimum of 5 years of experience
· General understanding of electrical equipment
· Experience working with technical descriptions and documentation
Experience using engineering tools such as ELCAD, CAD, EPLAN, etc is preferred.
Experience leading project team members and/or working with international teams is a plus.
