Job Description | Position Purpose:
The Automation Sales Engineer (also referred to as Hi-Tech Product Specialist) has responsibility for managing the sales and marketing effort for a product or group of products. This includes direct technical sales effort for those products, coordination between account sales, inside sales, Engineered Solutions Team (ESG) and manufacturer representatives. In addition, it requires continuous effort to align the product or product group with the strategies of KIT Zeller to achieve the overall goals set.
Automation focus will be on supplying customers with innovative productivity solutions. This will be achieved through the use of software and hardware to control, monitor, alarm, archive and report on overall performance. Products included in this will be but not limited to SCADA, telemetry, automation and motion controllers, HMI, RFID, barcode and other peripheral products.
Primary Duties:
25% Look for new business opportunities within target account as well as new accounts
20% Develop Technical relationships, through innovative problem solving with the customer.
Develop customer trust in you, your solutions and the KIT Zeller team.
20% Outside & Inside sales and customer support through proactive training and as needed on phone and onsite support.
20% Work with ESG, inside and outside sales to ensure proper mind share for your product basket with the customer.
5% Continuously review and benchmark new products and ideas for future growth potentials.
4% Work with manufacture to strategically develop and implement a solid sale plan.
Liaison between KIT Zeller, customer and manufacturer to foster strategic alliances.
3% Create annual business plan for your product group, including all Zeller branches, manufacturers and complimentary products.
3% Develop promotional programs, monthly mailer, Newsletter, Hold messages and seminars. Create adequate Demo’s for sales calls and trade show participation
Other Duties:
•Clearly present product knowledge and strategies to Zeller Sales organization and customers
•Set customer pricing, negotiate with manufacturer in financial and personal decisions based on the goals and values of KIT Zeller
•React to changes productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
•Work as a team that focuses on the customer
Skills/Requirements:
•4Year Degree - Engineering
•5Years Work Experience
