| Job Description | ET Healthcare is a venture capital backed In Vitro diagnostics(IVD) company located in Palo Alto. We have novel, proprietary analytical technology that enables development of multiple product formats suitable for clinical labs, emergency rooms, and intensive care units with state of the art performance. We plan to launch our first product mid 2014, initially in Asia and on a longer term basis, in the US and European markets. We are seeking a biochemist in a full time position to assist in development and optimization of clinical immunoassay test kits.
Position Description
The biochemist will be involved in R & D developing clinical diagnostic test kits using the company’s proprietary immunoassay technology. The first responsibility will be to optimize various methods in the preparation of key reagents in ET Healthcare’s first panel of IVD test kits. Upon completing development of the assays, the biochemist will participate in transferring the kits for clinical trials and to production.
Requirements
BS/MS in a biological science plus 1-2 years laboratory experience is required. Seeking a self-motivated individual who can work in small teams, is willing to learn and contribute to the development of novel chemistries. The biochemist should be capable of managing the challenges as well as the opportunities in launching the company’s first products. Expertise or training in general biochemistry methods including spectroscopy, protein fractionation and chemical modification of biologically active molecules is relevant. Working knowledge of immunoassay methods is desirable. |
