CNC Machine Programmer and Operator

Job Description
Basic Function

The position is responsible for machining prototype or production parts and molds using CNC machining centers, turning centers and manual mills. The position adheres to high quality standards and performs work in accordance with company standards. The position will support the Trek Product Development Process (PDP), learn, develop, implement and utilize tools that allow for lead-time reductions and meeting product launch timelines.

Skills and Knowledge

Ability to program using Delcam Power Mill (or equivalent) is required
Competent with Windows and Solid Works
Perform all necessary machining functions, including set ups and CNC programing to produce prototype or production parts to specified quality standards.
Operate CNC machining centers, turning center and manual mills and edit CNC programs to meet specified tolerance requirements.
Use measuring equipment related to metal working, read and use blueprints to make parts, inspect parts and recognize defects.
Hand editing of CNC required.
Demonstrate an attitude that fosters continuous improvement, 5S, and Kaizen involvement.
Be proficient in planning and organization skills, initiative, accountability, detail oriented.
Demonstrated experience with the ability to use judgment, problem solving, time management, multiple project loads and work without constant supervision.
Additional Duties

Ability to support a project from beginning to end including post-finishing of parts
Support Continuous Improvement initiatives using Kaizen and Lean concepts
Perform preventive maintenance on machines
