Career Opportunity: CNC Machinist
TOX Pressotechnik's machining team creates high quality, precise, tight tolerance, short run tooling, fixturing and presses used to create custom turnkey assembly machinery.
We seek career minded candidates interested in the opportunity to grow and develop as skilled CNC machinists. Our machinists have the opportunity to run a variety of jobs on CNC and tool room equipment.
You will have the opportunity to work independently and as part of a team to program, set-up and operate DMG/Haas/Mori Seiki 3, 4 and 5 axis machining centers and perform final quality inspection in a low volume/high mix environment.
Work in a clean, modern, air conditioned shop with new equipment & machinery.
CNC Machinist Responsibilities:
•Read and interpret engineering drawings. understand symbols, notes and GD&T
•Use shop math including geometry and trigonometry
•Visualize and forward think the best machining practices necessary to complete part
•Apply knowledge of metal properties in relation to machinability of materials (e.g., cutting speed and feed rates for material being machined)
•Produce high quality parts potentially running operations on a variety of machines
•Hold tolerances as tight as .0002 for various components
•Troubleshoot issues and work with Engineering and Assembly colleagues to resolve problems
•Perform part inspection using micrometers, calipers, height indicator, etc.
•Effectively manage work time and be self-directed in order to meet production needs/schedules
•Exhibit understanding, flexibility and willingness to changing priorities in a fast-pace environment
Application Requirements:
•5-10 years' experience
•Proficient in the operation of conventional and CNC equipment
•Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T
•Proficient in the use of measuring equipment (+/- .0002"" tolerances) to inspect your own work
•HS diploma or equivalent. Post high school education / training preferred
•Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
•Safety conscious in the work environment
•Ability to pass background check
•Self-motivated, dependable individual
