CNC Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description
Essential Training Functions:

Tool selection, programming, and path verification of Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) Machine Tools
Setup, operation, and tool management of CNC Milling Machines
Finished part verification, work flow scheduling, and tool maintenance
Utilize drawings or CAD/CAM software to support program development and produce programs
Support process optimization and machine utilization with updates to programs or processes as necessary
Provide input on process decisions and strategies
Develop and instruct proper operating procedures for all CNC machines
Design and detail fixtures using engineering software as required
Participate in conceptual design, oversight and fabrication of production tools and fixtures
Provide input and assist Manufacturing Engineering in procurement of new CNC and fabrication equipment
Utilize Lean manufacturing tools to increase efficiencies
Ensure 6S is maintained on a daily basis
Maintain a safe, clean work environment; address any unsafe conditions or behaviors with a supervisor
Perform other related or nonrelated duties as assigned through on the job training

Physical Requirements:

Occasional lifting of 50 pounds or less, occasional lifting of 51 pounds or more
Standing, walking, and sitting frequently throughout the duration of shift, daily

Knowledge / Experience:

2 or 4 year degree in technical/engineering related field with high mechanical aptitude OR CNC certificate from reputable trade school OR 2+ years of CNC programming experience (CNC programming training provided, as needed)
Experience with CAD/CAM software
Experience with LEAN and/or similar continuous improvement is preferred
