The Global Catastrophe Management Team is responsible for modeling, monitoring and managing Zurich’s exposure to earthquakes, floods, windstorms, terrorism and other catastrophic risks. Liaising with Zurich business divisions around North America to collect and understand data, writing and maintaining code to efficiently manipulate data-sets and ensure quality. As a Catastrophe Modeling Analyst, you will find yourself in an intellectually stimulating role with opportunities for professional development .
Other areas of catastrophe management::
-Understand natural hazards and their statistical properties
-Validates data received from business segments and interprets best fit for catastrophe modeling.
-Develop approaches to modeling natural and man-made catastrophic risks
-Supports key aspects of portfolio management, including analysis. to monitor profitability, minimize capital impact, and promote premium growth of assigned business segment
-Provides support for development of rates, rating plans and pricing

Job Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree Or Equivalent
4 Or More Years Of Related Catastrophe Modeling Experience
Knowledge of RMS, AIR, EQECat
Intermediate SQL scripting
Strong analytical skills
