| Job Description | General Summary
This position will be responsible for the development, implementation and data analysis of magnetic devices, and electronic testing and characterization.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Design and develop testing and characterization strategies.
Evaluate hardware selection for testing.
Implement testing equipment selection.
Maintain database and conduct data analysis with JMP, MATLAB, Mathematica, etc.
Develop new testing metrology and failure analysis.
Maintain and develop standards and tester correlation.
Job Specification and Requirements*
Must be able to communicate and work effectively with interdepartmental groups.
Knowledge of magnetic devices is required.
Must be analytical and able to offer solid suggestions based on data analysis.
Able to make decisions on testing strategy and equipment selection.
Experience with testing and characterization of magnetic and electronic devices.
Knowledge of testing equipment, characterization strategy, and metrology methods used in the semiconductor business helpful.
Experience with Advantest and Nextest testers helpful, but not required.
Ability to identify the causes of device failure is helpful.
An MS in Physics or a related engineering discipline and at least 3 years of related experience in the semiconductor industry OR a PhD with highly related coursework/research.
Work Schedule, Conditions and Physical Requirements ***
This is a day shift position, Monday through Friday. Regular work schedule may occasionally be adjusted to meet company needs. Occasional domestic and international travel required. The majority of the time for this position will be in an office environment working with a computer terminal requiring extended periods of sitting. A portion of the work will take place within a ESD/magnetic field sensitive laboratory environment which might require adherence to safety and dress standard, including but not limited to smocks, bunny suits, hairnets, safety shoes, glasses, latex gloves, etc. |
