| Job Description | Description: The Agilent Technologies High Performance Liquid Chromatography Column manufacturing organization is looking for an experienced process engineer to join their manufacturing engineering team. You will be expected to deliver solutions to solve a broad range of manufacturing related challenges including quality, cycle time, and yield improvements to existing product and help with the transfer of new products to production.
In this role, you will work closely with production operators, technicians, other process engineers, research and development, and site supervision to execute process improvement and capacity optimization tasks. You will work in a cross-functional environment relying on teamwork, communication, analytical problem solving skills to recommend, initiate, and implement process and capacity improvement.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
-A total of 3-7 years of experience as a process engineer in the chemical process industry
-Demonstrated ability in successfully leading process improvement teams
-Desired Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or experience working in a Six Sigma environment
-Demonstrated implementation of LEAN manufacturing concepts
-Superior project management skills
-Experience with defining and implementing small capital projects
-Desired experience with batch operations such as filtration, milling, leaching, reaction chemistry, and solids handling.
-Demonstrated strong written and oral communication
-Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues and apply corrective actions
-Demonstrated initiative and creativity to work independently on new ideas
-Demonstrated ability to working directly with operations to affect change in a manufacturing environment
-Demonstrated listening skills and ability to be open to new ideas and change
