Alteris Insurance Services Inc, a subsidiary of Argo Group US has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a WaterPlus Underwriter in our San Francisco, CA office.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities are:
· Review, underwrite and price applications and endorsements
· Secure additional underwriting information
· Negotiate terms
· Development of programs
· Day-to-day involvement and audits
· Potential for Travel up to 25%
Qualifications
The experience requirements are:
· Exceptional consultation and communication skills desired
· 3+ years Commercial Lines underwriting (preferred candidate will have understanding of public sector, utility, nonprofit associations, and middle-market risks)
· Multi-line, countrywide
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred
· Proficient with MS Word and Excel
· Strong in forms analysis/comparison
· Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
· Program background
· Rate filing background a plus
