As CPC’s Continuous Improvement Leader you will be responsible for leading the strategic and tactical deployment of Lean / Continuous Improvement (CI) across the company. The individual will educate and coach employees from top leadership to individual contributors as well as lead and drive CI projects across the organization.

The Continuous Improvement Leader position will be located at the St. Paul MN location.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Employs Lean methodology to accomplish business objectives. This includes the creation, implementation, and evaluation of process improvements that reduce lead-time, improve on-time delivery, reduce product development time, improve quality, and reduce inventory and manufacturing costs
Works with and through the business and functional leadership to set goals and objectives to support company process improvement projects
Provides appropriate and timely training and coaching at all levels, and leads improvement projects
Develops and mentors internal CI leaders
Establishes short-term (quarterly/annual) milestones within the framework of the longer-term CI journey
Works as a transformational leader and change agent with business unit and functional leadership
Deploys the CI strategy, monitors results, and reports progress
Leads and manages CI project portfolios in order to accomplish measurable business process improvements
Designs, implements, and maintains effective metrics and project plans to ensure improvement team targets are consistently met or exceeded in a timely manner
Conducts process evaluation studies to verify and improve capability or lead-time
Provides leadership, direction, and coaching to improve team members in all improvement aspects
Adheres to all safety regulations
Demonstrate support of CPC core values
Ability to complete other projects and responsibilities as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
Seven plus years of demonstrated experience leading and deploying Continuous improvements in a manufacturing environment
Proven experience in training & development, managing change initiatives, and leadership development
Additional Qualifications:
Lean and/or Sigma certification/training preferred
Ability to develop a clear, long-term strategy for Lean including a vision, milestones, and measurable results
Demonstrated experience in implementing Lean methodologies, including demand flow, continuous flow, Kanban, visual control, 5S, Kaizen, gemba
Demonstrated experience in using Lean tools, including Value Stream Mapping, waste walks, spaghetti charts, visual management boards
Demonstrated experience using Six Sigma tools, including process mapping, SIPOC, CTQs, Cause & Effect Matrix, FMEA, and Gage R&R. Six Sigma Black Belt a plus
Strong consultative and relationship building skills
Professional and thorough problem solving skills
Ability to maintain composure and confidence in difficult or confrontational situations
Proven experience in training & development, managing change initiatives, and leadership development
Strong assessment and decision making skills, and an outstanding ability to influence and build relationships within the organization and externally
Excellent oral and written communication skills across all organizational levels
Strong MS Office skills and overall systems aptitude
Highly effective presentation skills
