Description: Responsible for financial and accounting functions for the manufacturing and warehousing operations.
Duties: Summarize monthly performance data and prepare analysis of operating results; actively participate as a member of the management team; prepare reports and analysis of proposed capital projects, new product costs and operation strategies. Propose reactions to incidents and situations. Recommend or institute responses to changing operational environment.
Oversee accounts payable, cost accounting, payroll and general ledger functions. Lead audits of finished inventory and fixed assets. Approve journal entries, purchase commitments and capital appropriation requests and approve a variety of documents as required by Sarbanes-Oxley procedures.
Responsible for the annual budget process: set annual goals, calculate standards and expenses, request final budget approval, issue budget to staff and post to SAP. Track plant performance to budget throughout the year and issue reports and analysis.

Responsible for directing the plant's accounting functions.
Ensures the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives are met. Prepares financial reports and presents findings and recommendations to top management. Prepares budget for locations Prepares summary of reports.
Typically requires a CPA. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of direct experience in the field.
Requirements
Requirements: Masters degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or Bachelors degree with current CPA certificate. Ten or more years experience as a controller in a manufacturing environment. Minimum five years direct responsibility for manufacturing budget, general ledger accounting, manufacturing cost accounting and hourly payroll.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, efficient time management skills, excellent analytical and problem solving skills; proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel; knowledge of SAP reports and capabilities. Should possess a demonstrated track record of success in the Controller function. Must understand risks and key controls, expense accruals and forecasting. Should have basic knowledge of all manufacturing steps from order entry through accounts receivable.
