Responsibilities:
Independently design new electrical, pnuematic and hydraulic control systems
Independently create and modify software related code (PLC, HMI, VFD, etc.)
Independently create and execute process risk assessments, testing and validations
Develop specifications and standards for new and existing control systems
Reverse engineer legacy equipment control systems to ensure accurate prints and adherance to design intent and safety
Assist plants as required with control system related issues
Highly motivated and self-starter
Project management skills in leading large, complex projects
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Proficient in AutoCAD
Fluent in programming of PLCs and HMIs
Thorough understanding of automation regarding electrical, pnuematic and hydraulic control systems
Ability to quickly troubleshoot control systems
Ability to create electrical, pnuematic and hydraulic prints for new or existing legacy equipment utilizing industry standard symbols and nomenclature
Thorough understanding of OSHA requirements and ensuring these requirements are reflected in designs and programming
Owner of Change Control process for Control Systems
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree: BS in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field, advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 5 years related work experience
Minimum of 5 years related work experience
Experience with AB, DirectLogic and Siemens series of controllers and HMI's
Experience with OSHA and NFPA 79 regulations
Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies preferred
Automated machine and tool design experience preferred |
