POSITION DESCRIPTION:
As assigned by supervisor to include but are not limited to: calibration of new and existing instruments: control valves, controllers, etc., monitor and trouble shoot control loops, instruments, and/or entire control systems, replace, repair and/or recalibrate defective components and instruments, including associated tubing and wiring work, attend and participate in formal training programs at the discretion of the company, proper use and care for tools and test equipment, maintain daily maintenance and plant calibration logs, able to be contacted in case of and respond to emergency, prepare and analyze written or computer data, visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, operation of motor vehicles or equipment, other maintenance duties as necessary.

High School Diploma or Equivalent, Minimum 2-year degree in Industrial Automation or Controls technology with a minimum of 5-years related work experience, minimum Level 1 ISA Certified Control Systems Technician certification, must be able to read, write, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, must be able to read comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions, must be able to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organizations, must be able to hear and perceive information at normal spoken word level, must be able to perform any mathematical skills as required to install, troubleshoot, and/or maintain all plant automation and instrumentation equipment, must be able to troubleshoot and edit PLC programs, must be able to demonstrate superb decision-making ability to determine a best course of action, must have basic computer skills, knowledge of GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices), knowledge of safety programs and procedures.
