Job Description
JOB FUNCTION:

We are looking for a Controls / Systems Engineer with a background in controls/electrical/electronics engineering. This individual will participate in the development of the system controls algorithms, function as Systems Engineer and designer, and support the product during and after it transitions to manufacturing. This individual must be a hands-on person capable of generating system mathematical models, using hardware in the loop development tests systems, implementing DSP filtering techniques and quickly developing robust control algorithms. In this position, the individual works closely with all functional groups. The successful candidate will support the engineering leader for the project and should be comfortable working with multidisciplinary projects that require electronic, electromechanical, and software engineering.

Description

Develop control algorithms for system feedback loops, noise rejection and improving product robustness. Use the latest control techniques to deliver robust control performance. Generate the prerequisite documentation. Generate hardware in the loop control systems using tools such as Matlab/Simulink to demonstrate algorithm suitability. Perform system error analysis demonstrating suitability of design.

Perform control performance and system validation. Review existing regulatory standards and demonstrate traceability. Generate protocol documentation, tests systems, algorithm description documents, electro-mechanical models, etc.

Perform system hazard and dFMEA analysis.

Generate detailed testable PRD requirements. Use DOOR to perform system traceability analysis.

Resolve design conflicts between software and hardware engineering.

Manage multiple assignments and deadlines.

Work with CRRT experts to develop new control algorithms.
