New opportunity for a Controls Technician/Power Plant Operator to join our Renewable Energy Team. Will provide plant commissioning and operations support for renewable power generation plant located in Chicopee, MA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide operations group guidance and support with power plant equipment, instrumentation, and control systems commissioning, calibration, troubleshooting, repair, preventative maintenance

Monitor control and instrumentation electrical installation during plant construction phase

Assist with loop checks, troubleshoot field instrumentation, and complete plant operations testing during plant startup & commissioning phase

Participate in the development of plant operating procedures, guides, and documentation.

Provide on-site and remote training for plant operators and mechanics

Serve as vendor liaison for controls and instrumentation related calls, site visits, and training

Ensure compliance with company, industry, and regulatory safety standards and protocols

Perform other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 3+ years' equipment operations experience using mechanical, electrical, instrument or control system skills.

High School, GED, technical training school, Associates Degree level graduate.

Minimum 3 years industrial plant construction, start-up, operations, troubleshooting experience

Renewable energy power plant engineering, construction, operations experience desirable

Basic plant control hardware and software system work experience (Allen-Bradley preferred)

Ability to interpret piping and instrumentation drawings and electrical prints

Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and complete assignments

Basic computer skills including e-mail and data entry using Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs & transport equipment & tools in excess of 300 lbs.

Strong verbal, written, computer communication and organization skills

Valid Drivers' License issued by state of residence and in good standing

U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required

May be required to pass substance testing and/or security clearance investigation

May require flexibility for ‘on call’ support or varied schedule needs

Travel required.
