Located in Elmwood Park, NJ we currently have a Converting Process Engineer position available within our Converting Department.


The primary duties of this position are to implement permanent solutions in manufacturing (Converting) to improve efficiencies and reduce waste with a keen focus on safety and quality.



Job duties include:

Work with manufacturing personnel to document current manufacturing methods using procedures, checklists, training and troubleshooting guides, and setup sheets (including developing a system to manage this documentation). ·
Develop a training plan to train and certify production workers. ·
Develop master machine files for the manufacturing equipment. ·
Gather and analyze data to monitor and improve the efficiency, quality and output of manufacturing.
Ensure the process works at the optimum level, to the right rate and quality of output;
Make observations and take measurements directly, as well as collecting and interpreting data from the other technical and operating staff;
Designing, installing and commissioning new production units, monitoring development (ie, modifications and upgrades) and troubleshooting existing processes;
Conduct experiments.
Lead continuous improvement events within manufacturing (Converting). ·
Manage the cost and time constraints of projects. ·
Coordinate & supervise trials throughout the facility o
Gather and analyze data before, during, and after a trial to determine its effectiveness.
Validate financial aspects of trials to determine if they are cost effective.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:



Technical degree, preferably engineering
One to three years manufacturing experience or Mechanical/Industrial Engineering degree in lieu of experience
Flexible schedule (training implementation will require some work on the off-shifts and weekends)
