| Job Description | JOB DESCRIPTION:
Supervise employees in the daily production of corrugated products, to include training, planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating employee performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; promoting teamwork; resolving conflicts. Lead and motivate employees to work efficiently and effectively, while ensuring a safe work environment, a quality product, and a satisfied customer. Review machine line-up and overall operations with outgoing supervisor at shift change. Give priority to new items and first orders. Ensure compliance on IQP checks; coordinate upkeep of machinery with Maintenance team to minimize downtime; assist in troubleshooting machine problems. Document changes made to systems or equipment through appropriate communications and recordkeeping practices, including logs, files, reports, and systems. Communicate changes, both oral and written, with staff and other supervisors. Ensure crews have all items needed for daily order including printing plates, printing inks, cutting dies, and load tags; periodically review status of converting supplies and reorder when necessary. Conduct at least one visual inspection daily of each item run on machines; complete daily production reports. Other activities as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Prior experience in the corrugated packaging industry required. Two years of supervisory experience preferred. Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs required. |
