Job Description

Swisslog Logistics is searching for corporate counsel to work as part of a team in a fast paced, entrepreneurial business environment. The successful candidate will require minimal direct supervision supporting business operations.


Your Tasks
Develops, drafts, revises, negotiates and administers contracts with both Customers and Suppliers. Is monitoring compliance with government regulations and commercial contract terms


Interacts with all levels of the organization including legal representatives from clients and customers. Manage outside counsel (if required) in the pursuit or defense of various legal issues


Provide legal counsel on issues arising from actual or anticipated lawsuits Anticipate and guard against legal risks facing the company. Develop and recommend company policy and position on legal issues


Develops and advances strategies in support of Swisslog’s position, performing complex analyses as needed. Is an essential and key hub within the organization with high visibility to all facets of the organization


Review and negotiation of general contracts, vendor agreements, customer contracts, questionnaires and all pertinent e-mail correspondence Employment contracts, claims, litigation, etc


Responsible for managing and all Trademarks, patents, intellectual property, trade secrets and interfacing with outside IP counsel


Supports HR with legal advice in relation to work related legislation as well as immigration matters


Reports to the MD in relation to Customer Contracts and the Local Purchaser in relation to the Supplier contracts



Your Profile
Minimum:
Juris Doctor

3 years of direct transactional legal experience

Substantial experience actually working with contractual language, including the drafting, revising, and analysis of the same

Excellent Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat software skills with an emphasis on word processing and document reviewing functions

Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to utilize proprietary Internet based reporting and database functions

Excellent time management and general organizational skills

Experience working with multiple projects with often rushed and short timelines

Strong attention to detail, ability to work well under pressure

Ability to work in an unsupervised environment

Highly motivated self-starter, Ability to work additional hours as needed; sometimes on short notice


Desirable but not Essential:

Experience with construction, engineering, and architectural contracts

Experience with project business

Experience working in in-house or directly with business leaders of corporations

5 – 7 years’ experience in negotiating, drafting, and administering complex commercial contracts
