To organize, conduct and/or direct the investigative/prosecutorial activities of Corporate Security. Ensure professional advice and counsel is provided to the officers of multiple Business Unit markets resulting from expertise and information obtained through complex investigations relative to fraud, worker dishonesty, human and physical assets, violations of company policies, integrity/nonconformance issues and criminal matters.
Trains all levels of investigators and approves analysis of employee/worker discipline, criminal prosecutions and departmental budgetary issues. Shares in approval of staff salary administration and performance appraisals. Possesses an advanced working familiarity with law, including tort, contract, agency, criminal, employment, administrative, commercial, insurance, evidence and civil/criminal courtroom practices. Possesses an advanced working knowledge of accounting, auditing and banking practices, interview techniques, company policies and procedures/corporate codes of ethics/values/integrity, negotiation and interviewing techniques, oral/written communication, and organization and teaching skills. Operates independently with respect to case strategies in extended/unpredictable work hours/locations with reluctant or antagonistic individuals in non-controlled work environments. Directs programs, evaluates highly complex data, resolves sensitive/confidential disputes and conflicts, evaluates strengths and weaknesses of business units in their identification and management of integrity matters including the delegation of investigative assignments, makes reasoned immediate decisions in hostile/dangerous situations, shares information directly with company officers and travels/works in non-office environments. Acts as a liason with law enforcement agencies on Allstate security matters.
