To accommodate our growth in the Twin Cities area, we opened an office in Bloomington, MN in 2011. We currently have a need for a qualified Corrosion Technician to provide services to our pipeline clients in this region.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Apply cathodic protection to various structures, including pipelines, tanks & station facilities.
Maintain and repair cathodic protection operations for these structures.
Execute all standard field tests for maintaining the integrity of such protection systems, including test station surveys, close-interval surveys, interference mitigation, and internal corrosion assessments.
Perform rectifier inspections and repairs.
Perform soil resistivity measurements, current requirement testing, A/C mitigation, and ground bed design.
Install remote monitoring units.
Perform defect assessments for pipeline integrity digs.
Skills and Knowledge:
High School Diploma
NACE certified Corrosion Technician or NACE certified CP Level I preferred
Industry experience a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Office and have some database knowledge
Good verbal and written communication skills
Must have good mathematical background to handle common calculations
Must have a strong desire to succeed!
