BioClinica, Inc. is currently seeking motivated, results-oriented finance professionals our eClinical Finance team. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Cost Accountant based in our Audubon, PA office.
The Cost Accountant / Business Analyst will be responsible for providing analytical and decision support to BioClinica’s management team in turning the production process into financial value.
Tracking, recording and analyzing the costs and value associated with the products and activities of BioClinica
Forecasting revenue for all existing BioClinica contracts at project and component level; maximizing use of internal management tools & reports
Providing management with reports comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products explaining monthly budget variances to senior management.
Continually monitoring accuracy of current project forecasts and updating as necessary
Ensuring accuracy of financial data by collaborating with Contracts department to resolve and troubleshoot data issues including incomplete or missing data in internal systems (CRM)
Troubleshooting any discrepancies between forecast and actuals, adjusting the forecast as necessary.
Communicating and collaborating with project management to acquire information on project timing necessary to project more precise forecast.
Maintaining and updating sales tracking and reporting for quarterly incentive compensation and commissions.
The cost accountant will also be responsible for developing a standardized cost model based on defined deliverables, drivers and timing to reflect the actual output of BioClinica’s operational teams by
Studying and collecting information to determine standard and actual costs of BioClinica’s operational delivery, support and related direct and indirect costs.
Analyzing data obtained and recorded results, building costing approach and pricing models for new business.
Examining changes in and additions to products, operational delivery and support methods to determine effects on costs.
Evaluating actual costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
Reporting and interpreting discrepancies directly to upper management.
Preparing cost studies and monthly analysis by customer.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics; MBA preferred.
Additionally, candidates must have experience with the following:
5+ yrs experience performing data and forecasting analysis including background developing automated models in Excel
Excel Power user, with expertise in the development of complex formulas thru advanced functionality
Ability to facilitate change in current data availability in order to maximize efficiency of the Reporting Process/report development
Experience with some or all of the following a plus:
Proven ability to analyze, compare, and interpret facts and figures quickly, including experience in data warehousing and query building
Standardized Cost Accounting
Exposure to LEAN with practical experience
