Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for consolidating and validating underwriting, cash and claim data reported by agents and Third Party Administrators for various lines of business, including property, liability, inland marine, commercial auto and homeowners.  Develops reports to assist underwriters and other departments in analysis of data. Aids in the development of marketing and promotional materials.
 
JOB DUTIES
 
· Process monthly bordereaux reports submitted by agents and TPAs, including modification necessary to ensure upload to proprietary systems
· Work with agents, vendors and underwriters to resolve data errors
· Upload bordereaux reports into the database, meeting the monthly schedule needed for business reporting
· Analyze business written by agents, identifying risks written outside of contract guidelines and present findings to the underwriters
· Develop/modify production, aggregate and other reports as needed by underwriters and senior management
· Assist in troubleshooting agent system issues
· Assist in resolution of proprietary system issues, including requirements definition, development of test scenarios and reporting results
· Performs other related duties as required or requested
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
 
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office products with advanced skills in Excel and/or Access for data manipulation and reporting results
· Experience in data review and analysis, including report development
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related work experience
· Detail oriented service professional with the ability to communicate and collaborate in person, via email and on the phone
· Self starter with demonstrated ability to work and solve problems independently

Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos.  Ability to present information in a clear and effective manner in writing.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.  
 
Mathematical Skills
Complete proficiency in basic mathematical skills, including the ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs and tables.
 
Reasoning Ability
Ability to analyze source data and identify exceptions that will negatively impact business processes and reports.  Ability to identify methods and procedures for data analysis and reporting to meet business needs.
 
Technical Skills
A working knowledge in property, liability and inland marine classes is preferred.  Excellent knowledge of Windows Office tools, especially Excel and Access, is essential to perform this position to an acceptable standard.  Ability to learn to use company computer systems.  
 
Other Skills and Abilities
Ability to work and learn with a sense of urgency as part of a team in a fast paced environment.  Ability to prioritize and organize work with minimal assistance.  Ability to focus on details and data accuracy.
