Job Description | The Company is a pioneer in medical robotics and world leader in image-directed, robotic products for orthopedic applications. The Company’s product allows surgeons to pre-operatively plan their surgery in a 3-D virtual space and then execute the surgery in the operating room, exactly as planned.
Curexo Technology Corporation, the developer of the ROBODOC surgical assistant, is looking for an engineering support technician to participate in the development effort for surgical robotics systems.
The successful candidate will provide operational support for research, development, testing, validation, and product release activities within the engineering group, including CAD/CAM design, 3D printing, and other engineering support services.
Responsibilities:
?Provide technical assistance during testing and development of medical devices for total joint replacement surgical procedures.
?Provide technical assistance for testing and development for software, hardware, data and instrumentation in a medical device development environment.
?Assist in the completion and creation of TR’s and TS’s for validation and testing of new technologies.
?Assist in the implementation and use of CAD and CAM processes to support implant development.
?Assist in the development of 3D parts and testing components for research and validation utilizing 3D printing and Traditional machining techniques.
?Operate the robotic surgical system and any other system developed by the company to support validation efforts.
?Applies knowledge of regulatory processes to ensure compliance with existing procedures and to drive procedural improvements.
Qualifications
?CAD/CAM systems handling including Solidworks, PowerMill, Vericut and NX.
?Machining experience and 3D printing experience.
?Testing and measurement system experience.
?Knowledge of Scientific Method, Good Testing Practices, and Good Manufacturing Practices as defined by ISO 13485.
?Medical Hardware and Software operational system experience desirable.
?Strong analytical skills, initiative, judgment, creativity and problem solving ability.
?Excellent computer skills, including Linux, Windows, Mac, word processing, spreadsheet.
?High level of integrity and work ethic.
?Experience with orthopedic instrumentation systems, surgical robotics or surgical navigation systems a plus.
?Military experience, vocational technical or HS Diploma required with college credit or degree considered. (Experience and references are preferred over education).
?Attendance and punctuality are essential function of the position.
