Responsibilities: We are seeking an energetic and highly motivated candidate with a strong background in protein characterization to join the Analytical and Formulation Development group. This position provides the opportunity to contribute to a diverse set of contract manufacturing projects developing protein therapeutics for cancer, cardiovascular, inflammatory, and other diseases.
Develop analytical methods for characterization of recombinant proteins such as antibodies, complex glycosylated growth factors, receptor fusions, and enzymes.
Execute assays to support development of production processes
Collaborate closely with QC and Process Development groups to meet project timelines in a fast-paced team environment
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field with 2+ years of experience.
Core expertise required includes standard protein analytical techniques such as (SDS-PAGE, IEF, UV-vis spectroscopy and protein and peptide HPLC).
Optional but desired experience includes carbohydrate analysis experience, biophysical assay experience, and mass spectrometry experience.
Strong interpersonal and team skills.
Flexibility, excellent organizational skills and strong scientific problem solving skills are required to enable successful execution of critical studies against tight deadlines
Strong data management skills and attention to detail in the execution and documentation of studies.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to integrate complex data to produce clear and accurate reports and presentations |
