| Job Description | Kurt Manufacturing Company is proud to be 100% employee owned! Kurt is a nationally recognized manufacturer of quality close tolerance precision-machined parts. Since we opened in 1946, we have expanded our operation to three states. We have an immediate need for a Tooling Engineer in our Die Cast facility.
This position plans and implements all activities concerned with the development, application, and maintenance for aluminum die castings. Performs tool, gate and runner design. Works with Process Engineers to develop Die Cast processes, Bills of Material and shop routings. Assists customers with design for manufacturability.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess an Engineering degree with 5 + years of technical exp. in an aluminum die casting environment. Experience with processing, programming and tool design as well as proficiency in using Cad Key and Solidworks required. Experience with ProE preferred. Candidates must have strong customer relations skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Experience with B390 alloy preferred.
