Director, Cell Therapy Development

Job Description
Lonza, the leading contract manufacturer for the rapidly-growing area of Cell Therapy, is looking for a Director of Cell Therapy Development. The Cell Therapy Development group works closely with clients to enable GMP manufacture of their cell-based therapeutic product for clinical trials and commercial production, using substantial expertise in scale-up and optimization of cell culture platforms, closed-system expansion, harvest and volume-reduction, assay development, and overall cost reduction.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Cell Biology or related field and 10+ years’ experience, preferably in an industrial setting.

Experience with all aspects of cell culture methods and techniques. Experience with primary cells and large-scale culture helpful.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Demonstrated leadership skills.
